waiting for president obama at the white house to give an update on the hurricane preps and what the white house administration has done so far. live pictures out of the briefing room as reporters stand there and basically give a preview of what effect the president is able to walk out to the podium. dwoent know whether or not he will actually take a few questions. we anticipate that there will be questions, but he certainly will have a statement getting an update. he has met in the situation room. he has talked with leaders of fema. he has held some news -- well, not news conferences, but, rather, conference calls with some of his key administration figures to talk about what needs to happen. he has also called a state of emergency in those states along the northeast that are going to be severely impacted by this weather event. alison, i want to ask you very briefly as we wait for the president to step up there to the mike. the importance of the job numbers here because when you talk about the fact that we might not get that on friday, that is a number that a lot of people are going
